A very sad loss, Beth. The emptiness of a home after a beloved pet has passed on is an especially empty and quiet space. May you find solace in her memory.
Thank you for saying that, Lorianne. If anyone knows what it's like to love and lose animals, it's you. And as much as I try to work toward non-attachment, pets and people provide the greatest challenge of our ability to let go. If you have any further wisdom on this, please tell me!
Attachment is no problem; the problem is clinging. You allowed Manon a wonderful life, and when the time came, you let her go. That is a beautiful love story.
So rare a kitty to have experienced, among many other thrills in her life, being fish-lured by an internationally acclaimed clown…. And your sewing times won’t ever be the same!
So true. I wrote to Rene and sent him a picture, and he wrote right back saying what a dear Being Manon was and that he will miss her. I hope you saw the photos Jonathan posted, which included a number of sewing interventions...
Manon was a friend to all. But the way she would sit in front of, on, around, atop, next to, betwixt and between you and J was an all time new level of cat love. May you always feel her close. We should all be so lucky to come in off the street in hard times to such a home as yours.
Thank you. We sometimes wonder how much of Manon's behavior was inherent and how much was sort of learned through living with us - impossible to tell. She was certainly different from any other cat we've known, and how hard it is to let her go!
Oh poor Beth. I'm so sorry. One knows pets don't live for ever, but it still breaks one's heart when they go. She was a beautiful peaceful cat.
Thank you so much, Ann.
Good age for a cat. You'll miss her so much. xx
Thank you, Jean. You named her! I never forgot that. I am still very, very sad.
I never forgot either! Sad that I never met Manon. xx

Thank you, Laura. We are missing her tremendously.
Manon is a dear cat. Honoring Manon's life and honoring your loss and the loss experienced by all those who knew Manon.
Thank you, Amanda. It's a big loss - she had a large and dear presence, for a long time.
I'm sorry for your loss. You gave Manon a full and rich life.

Oh, so sorry to hear. She looked like such a sweetie. My condolences, Beth and Jonathan.
She was. Thanks so much, Leslee.
Dear, sweet Manon. She had a good and comfortable life, thanks to you and J. So sorry for your loss. We will miss her.
Condolences to you and Jonathan on the passing of your beloved four-footed friend.
Thank you Anna. She was such a dear. I know you know how it is...

I'm so sorry, Beth. Dear Manon brought so much joy. I hope you and Jonathan are taking good care.
Thank you, Mimosa. We are still very sad, but grateful to have had such an extraordinary being sharing our lives for so long.
Oh, Beth, I am sorry for your loss. You gave Manon a good life.
Thank you, Rachel. It was a long and, I hope, happy life for her - she was as sweet a cat as any that exist.
