As many of you know, my big project during the winter and spring a year ago was a group of twenty charcoal landscape drawings. They eventually formed the core of my book Snowy Fields, along with two essays, one by me, and another, about my work, by Michael Szpakowski
Oh, Beth, these are all so gorgeous. The charcoal drawings and the oil paintings, both. Wow.
I struggle with winter every year -- the cold and the dark are difficult for me. But your art reminds me that there is beauty even then and there.
